Jordan’s Smashing Season

We’ve just received an email from Jordan Wykes, a very exciting table tennis prospect from Jersey. The current Jersey U11 and U13 number 1 tells us about a very successful season that has seen him included in the 2011 ITTF World Hopes Team.

We wish Jordan all the best and hope he keeps us updated with his progress.

I am 11 years old and have been playing table tennis for 4 years. I now train 15 hours a week and I love it.

This season I have had some good results in the local league. In my last tournament in Cardiff (International Primary schools) I really played well, I won 14 out of 16 matches. I was very tired after the weekend and I came back to the local annual tournaments and won the under 13 title.

This week I have been at a training camp for 4 days (6 hours a day) I know it sounds hard but I really like to train.

Great news I have just been accepted for the world hopes training in Vienna in June, I am so pleased.

If you would like to tell us about your season, please do so on our Facebook Page.
